Rooted in Nature
Lavender Trail Yoga is a virtual and traveling in-person studio rooted in the belief that yoga belongs outdoors — on the trail, in the park, and in the natural spaces that restore us. Founded by Theresa Monserrat-Brown and based in Harleysville, PA, Lavender Trail offers postnatal, children's, and private classes designed to meet students exactly where they are, in body and in life.
Theresa's signature approach blends vinyasa flow and yin yoga — or "yinyasa" — a practice that moves between invigoration and restoration, much like the rhythm of nature itself. She has been practicing yoga for nearly twenty years and holds a 200-hr RYT and a 30-hr Children's Yoga certification through YogaRenew, where she is currently pursuing her 300-hr RYT. Her classes are offered virtually and in person, in classrooms, homes, and local parks.
As a mother to a young son, Theresa knows firsthand how disorienting the postpartum season can feel. Yoga helped her find her footing again — physically, emotionally, and in her connection to the world around her — and that experience is at the heart of everything she teaches. Her deepest motivation is simple: to help students feel at home in their bodies and at ease in their lives.
Theresa also volunteers with My Little Zen, teaching bi-weekly yoga classes to children living in safe houses in Tanzania — a reminder that the gifts of breath, movement, and stillness belong to everyone.
Lavender Trail Yoga takes its name from the Lavender Trail in Wissahickon Valley Park in Philadelphia — a place of deep meaning for Theresa and her family, and the spirit behind everything this studio is growing into.
